Procurement Manager
GSK House, Brentford
12 Month Contract
Pay: up to £490 per day


Your Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Global Procurement team in XXX, XXX to support the planning and implementation of key activities related to GSKs JV with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. You will be responsible for assisting the Procurement organisation effectively plan, co-ordinate and implement key initiatives in the first 12 months of the deal. You will lead, organize and manage specific projects across the Marketing and Sales category teams which includes spend across Media, Agencies, Promotions & Sales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for supporting the Marketing and Sales Cosmos saving delivery target of £178m over 3 years. Specifically accountable for savings projects within your remit.
  • Execute and lead contract performance and governance where required
  • Engagement with stakeholders– working collaboratively with the Marketing and Finance organisation to ensure alignment with the business is upheld throughout the process
  • Supporting projects of various complexity, some short term, quick wins, others more complex and long term evaluation and negotiation based
  • Flexibly working in a global organization with stakeholders and colleagues in multiple locations around the world

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business (or equivalent experience)
  • Cross-functional new product development leadership experience in a consumer healthcare business or similar
  • Strong verbal, numerical and people skills
  • Comfortable operating in situations characterized by complexity, ambiguity and high levels of uncertainty
  • An ability to map out and understand complex, highly interdependent issues - to distill simple and elegant solutions
  • Understanding of all the key business processes and functions within a transnational healthcare company
  • Negotiation skills and ability to influence with or without authority at a levels above and below own grade level
