Job Description: Project Manager CH Business Development

Background to the Role: As part of the formation of the JV between GSK Consumer Healthcare and Pfizer, GSK CH announced a program to divest brands to raise c.£1bn during 2019 and 2020. A program of divestments is currently in process. An experienced PM is needed to provide support to one or more of the brand divestments to supplement the existing team that is working on the program.

Role Description:

The Project Manager (PM) is expected to provide PM and PMO support to a Deal Lead(s) on one or more brand divestment projects:

o Provide project management support to a Deal Lead(s)

o Help leading the end-to-end delivery of the brand divestment up to signing of the contract

o Day-to-day project management and coordination of the project and workstream leads.

o Work with the Deal Lead to provide regular updates to the Program Lead on status, issues, and risks

o Planning and tracking of delivery against agreed milestones, including follow up and resolution of tasks that are behind schedule with the relevant functional teams/leads

o Take responsibility for the management of any Data Room (including co-ordination of set up of the VDR within GSK and in any external shared portal (such as Intralinks)

o Run / support programme Steercos, meetings & workshops individually and / or in conjunction with the Deal Lead

o Identify and proactively manage project level risks, issues and interdependencies

o Help identify cross-functional requirements to support the delivery of the project (and wider programme where relevant) - including resourcing requirements

o Internal and external stakeholder management, including communications

o Awareness and monitoring of project budget.

Relevant Experience and Competencies:

Previous experience running / working on a Business Development transaction is highly desired but not essential. Total work experience of at least 5 years is needed.

o Track record of successful delivery of complex projects involving multiple business functions

o Finance background is highly desired, but being ‘comfortable with numbers’ is essential

o Demonstrated analytical ability

o Experience working ‘at pace’ in a complex legal, operational, and financial environment is highly advantageous

o Demonstrated experience at dealing with ambiguity and working in a flexible and rapidly changing environment

o Demonstrated ability to work in an often time constrained environment

o Demonstrated ability to arrive rapidly at pragmatic solutions to often complex problems

o Demonstrated ability of working with senior level stakeholders, and ability to concisely explain problems, and present sensible solutions
