Sanctions Compliance Manager: Sanctions, Compliance, Risk

Description:

  • To provide subject matter expertise on sanctions risk mitigation globally
  • To support the Sanctions Centre of Excellent (CoE) in embedding GSK’s global sanctions compliance strategy providing interpretation and oversight of sanctions policies and procedures
  • To assist in development, communication and execution of an effective sanctions compliance strategy with clearly aligned and transparent objectives and KPIs

Experience needed

  • Relevant experience in sanctions risk identification, quantification and management
  • Previous exposure with automated sanctions screening solutions and risk mitigations
  • Depth of knowledge of sanctions regulations in particular UN/EU/OFAC sanctions laws and requirements
  • A knowledge of sanctions risks to implement and interpret sanctions policy ensuring GSK is regulatory compliant
  • Experience of successfully leading sanctions projects and improvements to processes and controls
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and interpretation of sanctions risks
  • Experience working in a sanctions advisory function and knowledge of appropriate monitoring and controls to ensure sanctions compliance
  • A good knowledge of sanctions risks and issues faced by a global institution and experience with regulatory reporting requirements
  • A broad and depth of knowledge of both operational and technical issues will ensure that the global sanctions compliance strategy fits with both the local regulatory requirements and the needs of GSK
  • Project management, risk management and change management skills are preferable to drive the trade compliance strategic objectives and ensure an effective implementation of a sanctions compliance function
  • Knowledge of UN/EU/OFAC Sanctions Regulations and experience on advising on these requirements. Previous experience of identifying regulatory changes, requirements and implementing these in a global institution
  • To assist in managing the sanctions risks and issues globally to ensure that all aspects of sanctions are appropriately controlled and prioritized
  • To assist in the evolution of sanctions compliance within GSK ensuring risk appetite and regulatory obligations are met
  • To ensure consistent and effective communication with Legal and key stakeholders on sanctions risks and issues
  • To ensure effective identification of sanctions risks and issues and how this can potentially impact GSK
  • Drive and manage changes and projects within defined framework to achieve operational, tactical, and strategic objectives and tasks
  • To understand the issues and risks impacting GSK from a Sanctions Regulatory Compliance perspective and to assist the Sanctions CoE in formulating and implementing the appropriate monitoring and controls
  • To provide timely, relevant, practical and proactive business decision support within the framework of the sanctions strategy
  • To provide training where appropriate on sanctions risk mitigation and adherence to the sanctions policy and global standard operating procedures
  • To support the Sanctions CoE in embedding a culture of sanctions compliance throughout the organization
