Finance Manager - Global Support Function

Job Purpose

A role in the GSF Finance Central Team primarily accountable for oversight and management of the annual planning and forecasting cycle.

The role has responsibility for leading the execution of planning within GSF and for process improvement. Working closely with the Director GSF Finance Central Team, the role is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of GSF planning processes and tools; for setting and agreeing the annual planning calendar; for ensuring all relevant GSF Finance personnel are fully trained on all aspects of the process; and for ensuring delivery of all required outputs to deadline. In addition, the role will support the Director GSF Finance Central team in the development and execution of segment cost allocations for all relevant exercises and actual reporting. The role also manages CAPEX planning and reporting for consolidated GSF.

The role will offer the right candidate the opportunity to assume additional responsibility for the Segment costs analysis process including supporting GSF Finance Leaders in discussions and reviews with FLT. In addition, the role would provide the right candidate an opportunity to identify and lead change in Planning processes across the GSF.

The role requires expertise (or the appetite to build that expertise) in BISON and acts as the BISON Champion for GSF Finance coordinating our interactions with the BISON support community and owning and managing change to the GSF data capture profile.

• This role reports into the Finance Director.

• Finance or business degree and Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, MBA) with expert knowledge in the Finance discipline

• Demonstrable experience in a Financial Management role in a complex commercial environment

• Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive and in-depth professional Financial Management skill set with particular emphasis on excellence in reporting and financial control

• Experience working with senior client groups with ability to influence and challenge positively with stakeholders at all levels

• Demonstrated business skills and independent commercial judgment to understand and identify the underlying business drivers

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and working in a global organisation across a matrix environment

• Ability to prioritise multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and apply project management skills

• Evidence of understanding of systems and processes as they affect the financial results (BISON, SAP, JDE, etc)

• Strong self-organisation with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, where appropriate drawing upon effective project management skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at multiple levels in the business unit

• Good interpersonal skills evidenced by the ability to create a network of key partners within Finance and the business and the ability to bridge communications gap between finance and non-finance

• Strong team building skills

• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to GSF Finance in all areas of Planning.

• Develop, maintain and improve the planning process for GSF Finance

• Prepare and issue instructions for all planning exercises and ensure that the GSF Finance team is well briefed on every process

• Control the overall management of planning data including consolidation of GSF plans and updates and work with outsource supplier to load GSF data to BISON and other systems for planning exercises

• Reconciliations to target and explanation of variances

• Preparation of decks for issue to Corporate Finance

• Prepare and circulate the annual planning calendar

• Manage all aspects of CAPEX planning and reporting of consolidated actual results

• Support the Director GSF Finance Central Team on all aspects of segment cost planning and reporting

Provide leadership for GSF Finance over BISON

• Represent GSF Finance on all aspects of BISON

• Ensure BISON training and access is provided for all GSF Finance personnel

• Manage and maintain the GSF data capture profile in BISON

Ad hoc analysis as directed by Director GSF Finance Central Team

Influence and build relationships:

• Build strong relationships with all GSF FPs

• Build strong relationships with Corporate Finance Planning team

• Build strong relationships with BISON support team

• Build strong relationships with outsource suppliers and CCM
