The finance analyst will be able to define the taxonomy, provide forecasts of month end close. Liaising with outsource supplier and the business service centre on a global scale. Additionally financial transformation exposure is really nice to have.

In order to achieve upper quartile Best in Class processes by 2020 this role is required to build, standardise, optimise and maintain GSK’s Month End Close processes which are conducted in GSK’s Regional Finance hubs.

Key Responsibilities

People/Organisation

• Work with GSK’s Regional Finance Hubs and our outsourced provider Genpact to deliver an optimised Month End Close process

• Facilitate discussions to ensure Taxonomy is agreed, defined and documented.

• Arbitrate on any issues related to clarity of taxonomy or where changes are proposed

• Ensure standardisation across the regional hubs

Process & Policy

• Design and document processes to optimise efficiency and effectiveness

• Design, document and deploy optimised, standardised finance processes

• Review and update policy to optimise process

• Identify activities that can be eliminated

• Ensure controls are optimised to balance risk and efficiency

System

• Identify processes for automation

• Partner with Genpact for delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

• Ensure processes are standardised and documented to enable RPA

• Participate in DIL Testing for RPA

Performance Management

• Ensure Performance Management Measures are in place and in use across all processes. These will be used in the Ops Board to measure compliance

Other

• Accountable for identifying and driving benefits delivery. This activity will be supported by the Project and Benefits Delivery Manager who will prepare the analysis of targeted benefits and drive and track the savings.
