Key responsibilities:

Working in partnership with the CH Global Communications team, the Corporate Digital Team and subject matter experts (SMES), this role will:

- Lead on content strategy and creation as well as own editorial planning across our global internal channels – including working with our Area and Functional Communications leads to ensure alignment and collaboration across the business.

o Own creating, managing and implementing a strategically aligned and impactful global CH content calendar

o Taking overall responsibility for the editorial direction of the CH intranet site; responsible for ensuring content as well as look and feel

o Setting the editorial direction, content strategy and commissioning and editing content for CH global content in Your GSK News

o Ensure content plan spans our Areas and Functions and with the SMEs in these areas to ensure content relevant for our global audience is showcased in an engaging way across our global channels.

- Partner closely with the Corporate Digital team to amplify the Consumer Healthcare story on GSK internal and external channels.

- In partnership with the Corporate Digital team, own CH specific employee advocacy strategy and activities

- Manage digital channel and design agencies and take the lead on digital channel, design and overall user experience across our global channels

- Work with Insights and UserExperience team to set and track targets and benchmarks for all channels, content areas and campaigns within the role’s remit

- Co-create and deliver compelling content campaigns for internal and external audiences, with a particular focus on our amplifying our performance and trust pillars across our intranet and social media channels.

- Partner with Global Internal Engagement director to create communications plans that deliver engaging and inspiring content across our global cadence including Performance calls, Financials Results and Global Town halls.

- Partner with Global Internal Engagement Director to create compelling content to support our People strategy across internal and external channels.

- Establish and maintain a network of peers and understanding of internal and external best practice

Specialised Knowledge:

• breadth & depth across disciplines or functions; expertise in field required

Significant experience in a producing content for internal and external audiences through digital

• Knowledge of internal and external digital channels and how they can be leveraged to deliver as part of a multichannel digital content strategy

• Significant experience in creation of content strategy and calendars for global corporate activity

• First class writing, editing and visual storytelling skills

• A confident communicator and networker; comfortable liaising with senior leaders if required

• Digitally-savvy

• Highly creative

• Knowledge of internal social media platforms and how to create compelling content for them (e.g. Yammer/Workplace by Facebook)

• Understanding of the power of imagery and video for digital storytelling and working knowledge of the process for creating this kind of content

• Knowledge of web design, accessibility and UX

• Knowledge and experience of applying digital insights to set targets for and constantly improve content and campaigns

• Project management capabilities

• High personal accountability and excellent time management skills

• Calm under pressure, resilient and flexible

• Cultural awareness and ability to work across a highly-matrixed environment with differing projects and deadlines

• Experience of corporate and financial communications is desirable, but not essential

• Preferred experience of working in a global or major international organization
