Experienced communications professional with proven ability to manage complex and large scale transformational change communications and engagement. These roles are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of communications and engagement activity both in GSK and external to GSK and providing expertise and coaching to key stakeholders when required.

The role of the Be You Engagement Manager is to develop and deliver the required communications, engagement and change activity to successfully activate inclusion and diversity both internally and externally to GSK.

This role will report directly to the Global I&D Director, working closely with colleagues and leaders in TL&OD, the HR organization and with the CGA function to ensure a co-ordinated and aligned activation approach. The aim is for Inclusion and Diversity to be activated externally and internally across GSK globally providing the relvant activation tools, guidance and launch support to ensure HR, business leaders, change agents & ERG’s are engaged. This role will need to be able to work with external suppliers and manage the connection between the supplier and GSK.

This role is required to be based in GSK House (Brentford, London).

Main Skills Required:

• Responsible for comms planning and delivery of comms, tools, guidance, launch excellence and engagement activities, reporting progress against plan and managing risks and issues, in partnership with TL&OD, I&D collegaues, comms and other key stakeholders

• Ensure that the centrally defined internal and external communications and engagement approach is applied appropriately in the different countries and there is alignment of messaging, approach and timing

• Collaborate to ensure an integrated change, comms, HR plan at a global, regional and BU/function and external level

• Create comms solutions to help manage change impact, risks and issues

• Provide coaching and support to key stakeholders

• Implement measures to ensure successful activation, audience insights and analysis

• Use multiple methods to engage the organisation and external to GSK in I&D e.g. experiments, workplace, story telling, digital etc

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English

• Strong experience in multiple channel engagement and activation activity including digital

• Solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process

• Excellent active listening skills and knowledge of effective listening tools and techniques

• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships

• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

• Agile and flexible; able to work in ambiguous situations

• Forward looking with a holistic approach

• Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

• Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges

• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle

• Experience of digital communications would be an advantage

• Experience within GSK would be an advantage
