Product Owner, VIM (Vendor Invoice Management - P2P)

As the Product Owner VIM (Vendor Invoice management P2P), you will be responsible for optimising business processes and maximising the system’s (VIM) functionality, ensuring both FI and MM (PO and Non-PO) invoices are correctly handled and treated within the SAP ERP in the most effective and efficient manner.

You will be a key contributor in creating a controlled and efficient invoice management environment, which will provide complete visibility of the life cycle of an invoice. This environment will be transparent and reportable via dashboard and exception reporting, which will detail each step of the invoice process, from invoice reception, exception resolution through to invoice approval.

Basic Qualifications:

• University degree/Chartered Institute of Purchasing

• Extensive experience in developing and executing standard processes globally across an organisation

• Successful experience in strategy, business case development along with the creation of the business requirements documents for functional and technical scoping.

• Experience of achieving results through others in a matrixed environment

• Knowledge of invoice processing in SAP

Desired Qualifications

• Significant internal and external experience of requisition to pay, specifically within an Open text VIM, SAP environment, working with both PO and NON-PO invoices, workflows and related reporting.

• Understands key process controls and dependencies such as workflow approvals to chart of authority for FI invoices, and exception handling and resolution processes relating to MM invoices.

• A proven track record in driving significant global change and successfully implementing large scale transformation in Finance including an invoice management solution.

• Detailed understanding of the varying Invoice reception streams leading to invoice logging, matching, approval and validation, within a multinational corporation, operating in either an manufacturing, retail or FMCG environment.

• Product Owner experience for at least 2 years

• In-depth knowledge of agile processes and principles

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills at all organisational levels

• Experience of end to end procure to pay processes

• Customer-focused design thinking

As the VIM Product Owner, you will be responsible for:

Value

• Implement Open Text VIM, partnering closely with the Agile Tech team, GPO and Operational teams to make design decisions which maximise business value.

• Own the product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities as the programme rolls out across GSK, providing direction to the development team and stakeholders.

• Lead the planning, product release plans and set expectation for delivery, which will include communication, training, and business partnering to ensure business understanding and acceptance of new enhanced capabilities and functionalities within SAP.

• Working with the GSK PMO approach, ensure timely documentation and management of all project activities and deliverables using an agile approach, identifying all pre and post go-live challenges, mitigating and risk.

• To ensure maximum value and efficiency are aligned with product strategy and functionality is maximised.

• Develop options and work with the various stakeholders and their team to assess their viability, feasibility and desirability as they relate to the problems they are solving.

• Complete value confirmation analysis once product is live (i.e. did we solve the problem and is it providing the value we predicted it would?)

Flow

• Plan, prioritize and manage the product development and rollout in line with best practice and GSK requirements, ensuring best business value and efficiency.

• Ensure that the BAU teams are always fully engaged and the “AS IS” process is documented, understood and migrations to a “To Be” VIM best practice process and methodology is seamless, and measurable via dashboard and KPI reporting.

• Set the iteration goal and monitor progress throughout the iterations (Kanban-style Agile methodology)

• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

Quality

• Identify users and facilitate business workshops to garner fast user feedback through the process

• Create mock-ups of potential solutions and validate them with business users

• Document detailed acceptance criteria and test development at the end of each sprint

• Work with the Change and Comms lead to plan communications and shape content

• Drive membership and use of the Fiori group on Workplace

• Seek, review and respond to user feedback of products in the live environment
