Tax Reporting and Forecasting Manager

GSK House, Brentford

10 Month Contract

Pay: up to £470 per day


Role

The role encompasses two key responsibilities; Country by Country Reporting and Cx JV Tax Reporting

Country by Country Reporting (“CbCR”)

The role is responsible for pulling together the CbC report, including interpreting and explaining the key trends and analysis to key internal and external stakeholders. Also, being able to link the CbCR data to the underlying statutory accounts and tax returns for key territories is going to be essential in order to build robust audit files.

Cx JV Tax Reporting

The compiles consolidated accounts for the Cx business which is expanding to include a new JV with Pfizer during 2019. The individual entities undertake group reporting as part of the GSK group, but there are adjustments on consolidation which require tax effecting. A key part of the role will be at year end to compile the key tax disclosures (e.g. the tax reconciliation and deferred tax analysis) in order for inclusion in the Cx accounts.

In addition to the responsibilities above, the individual will be part of a reporting team which seeks to drive the standardisation and simplification of direct tax processes within global tax. The individual will need to possess good tax and accounting experience and be competent at working with large sets of data in MS Excel.

The role will report to the Head of Group Tax Reporting and Forecasting.

Requirements

Strong accounting and tax background (ACA or equivalent)

Good awareness of tax environment (e.g. BEPS, CBCR, tax transparency)

Strong communication skills to be able to deal with senior stakeholders and finance contacts around the world

Ability to understand and utilise accounting platforms

Ability to work with large amounts of data and build robust and efficient excel reports
