This role will lead global planning and development of the company’s global web and digital service platform to enhance our overall digital customer engagement strategy and approach. Looking right across company to unify and optimize the experience on the web but also act as product owner on specific, strategic products connecting the demand to the development teams. This role operates globally, across regions and markets (including the US) and across all customer touchpoints on the web including Government Affairs, Communications, our Commercial and Medical assets. This role oversees the web and product strategies through successful execution of global standards, SOPs, business processes, style/design guides, analysis and optimization of core product(s).

Act as the conduit into the business and subject matter experts for our strategic web products within the web ecosystem. Ensures consistent global approach to ways of working and application of core business processes. Manages product template(s) and ways of working simplifying and harmonizing marketing and sales metrics for local, regional and global dashboards. Embeds product capabilities and knowledge across ViiV Healthcare through communication and coordination of Global/Local brand teams, other ViiV functions where demand, working in close collaboration with the development teams, creative agencies and LOCs. Be the central point for coordinating content creation fit for purpose for the product.

Taking full accountability and ownership end to end for the customer experience on the web including insights gathering around behavior online, latest trends and ViiV and Industry standards, content gaps and where required content creation. Ultimately enabling a culture of test and learn and continuous improvement right across our web ecosystem.

The purpose of this role is to define, develop, manage and govern (full ownership) the customer experience on our web ecosystem at ViiV Healthcare. (ViiV Healthcare is a pharmaceutical company specialising in the development of therapies for HIV infection that was created as a joint venture by Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline in November 2009 with both companies transferring their HIV assets to the new company).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a compelling and integrated web strategy for ViiV Healthcare that delivers customer value and growth (core products include – web and social media)
  • Accountable for development, implementation and optimisation of ViiV Corporate, Product, Patient and Charitable sites including; UX, UI, SEO, Content Execution and Data Integration. Responsible for multi-channel promotional plans to ensure maximum site interaction.
  • End to end accountability and responsibility for the experience our customers have on our web products holistically from understanding their needs, identifying the gaps, sourcing or creating and executing content and the delivery of a world class technical platform to deliver on expectations on a service platform fit for 2020.
  • Develop and own Mobile strategy to position ViiV as Pharma leaders in Mobile space. Conduct diagnosis of ViiV Mobile platforms, create ViiV ‘Mobile First’ strategy (including clear understanding and communication of App strategy) and work with appropriate functions to execute this
  • Supports the overall Global Multi-Channel Engagement strategy and priorities by identifying and evaluating innovative uses of the product that support business objectives
  • Analyze technology/platforms and landscape on an ongoing basis to support the creation and deployment of current and future product strategy. Acts as a thought leader within ViiV with respect to MCE trends, platforms and solutions
  • Provide regular, up to date and relevant customer behavior insights for internal teams including marketers in the marketing environments inside and outside the Pharma sector (related to channel adoption/performance) for the purposes of rapid continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the global standards, design/style guides, business processes, playbooks, KPIs, data collection requirements and measurement standards.
  • Organize training, roll-out a toolset for channel activation, vendor selection and management.

  • Understand and communicate regulatory and compliance risks to leveraging product solutions to meet business. Responsible for ensuring that joint commercial and corporate web strategy is guided by Scientific Engagement principles
  • Work with the Global MCE team, Regional Leads and LOCs to ensure clear feedback mechanisms are in place for product content optimization to occur effectively.
