Basic qualifications:

 ACT qualification (preferred)

 Strong academic record

 Knowledge of treasury operations process

 Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

 Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders simultaneously to get desired results

 Strong IT skills and ability to work with a range of financial systems

 Ability to prioritise multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity

 Experience working in a large global organisation

 Knowledge of IT2 or other Treasury Management Systems and confirmation matching systems would be advantageous

A permanent position has become available within GSK’s Treasury and In-house Cash (IHC) Operations team. The position will

report to the Treasury Operations Manager.

As the Treasury Operations Controller, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the Treasury Operations area whose main

responsibility is to support Corporate Treasury by performing back office functions. Primarily this would include settlements,

confirmations and static data updates within the Treasury Management System.

 Manage the daily corporate treasury settlement and confirmation processes ensuring that all payments are confirmed and

executed within defined cut-off times.

 Activities need to be completed to a very high level of accuracy each day, with considerable time pressure.

 Work closely with Corporate Treasury to ensure that all corporate action plans take into account the complexities

associated with settlement and banking.

 Provide day to day assistance to the Assistant Treasury Operations Controller and provide guidance to Cash & Banking

team where required.

 Provide cover and support to Treasury Operations Manager when and where required.

 As a centralised resource provide a “Centre of Excellence” service, providing day to day guidance on banking and

settlements to Service Centres, Local Markets as well as corporate treasury.

 Review and monitor market compliance with Corporate Treasury policies providing guidance.

 Review daily bank reconciliations prepared by the Assistant Treasury Operations Controller, follow up on identified

reconciling items with banking counterparts as well as individual markets to identify problem prevention proposals where

appropriate.

 Perform user administration duties on the principal direct banking platforms and systems.

 Ensure banking static data on the GSK Treasury Management Systems remains up to date. This includes the review and

authorisation of any additions or amendments to the static data as shared amongst the wider Treasury Operations team.

 Ensure systems are fully utilised to ensure Treasury Operations processes are managed in the most efficient manner.

 Ensure compliance with Treasury internal control procedures.

 Working with Group Treasury on the delivery of their transformation programme.

The position will be highly visible with daily interaction with many stakeholders. As such, it is important that the successful

candidate can work independently, has a high attention for detail, is proactive and, has strong communication and stakeholder

engagement skills.
