The Onyx Research Data Platform organization represents a major investment by GSK R&D and Digital & Tech, designed to deliver a step- change in our ability to leverage data, knowledge, and prediction to find new medicines. We are a full-stack shop consisting of product and portfolio leadership, data engineering, infrastructure and DevOps, data / metadata / knowledge platforms, and AI/ML and analysis platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect solutions for critical AI/ML projects that leverage new or existing AI/ML Platform capabilities

- Design, implement, and refactor widely used cloud infrastructure, web services, and python developer tools surrounding AI/ML Platform

- Collaborate with downstream platform users consisting of AI/ML, Frontend, and Backend Engineers to improve applications

- Collaborate with partners in Data Platform, Infrastructure, and DevOps on integrations and standards adoption

- Maintain high engineering standard of code quality, documentation, testing, and code reviews

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Python

- Practical knowledge in modern machine learning lifecycle

- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

- Cloud experience (Google Cloud & Azure) with networking, storage, containers, and serverless

- Experience with CI/CD implementations using git and a common CI/CD stack, (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps)

- Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code

- GKE experience a plus
