Instrument Technician
Pay rate: £22.56 per hour PAYE
Location: Montrose
Duration: 12 months
GSK is looking to recruit an Instrument technician based at our Montrose manufacturing site initially on a 12-month contract.
Role Responsibilities:
Works as part of a team and is responsible for the installation, maintenance and calibration of instrumentation systems on the site.
Provision of an installation and commissioning service on new equipment and modify existing equipment.
Responsible for correct implementation of routine maintenance procedures
Input data from calibration documentation in to CMX
Experience in the administration, control and use permit to work procedures.
Provide compliant and validated technical solutions
Provide accurate solutions to avoid having overdue calibrations
Consistently develop your skills to become a subject matter expert on instrumentation and metrology
Contribute to the deployment and integration of continuous improvement methodologies
Maintain high level of 5S standards and work practices of all production and shop areas
Manage monthly requests and project work
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Relevant Apprenticeship with 3 years’ experience in a similar role
S/NVQ Process Engineering Maintenance (Instrument and Control) Level 3 or equivalent
CompEx Units Ex 01 to 04
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Demonstrated ability to perform job duties with limited supervision.
Demonstrated familiarity with regulatory guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Understanding of P&IDs and electrical schematics
Proficient in SAP (work orders, history, maintenance plans)
Ability to work in a multifunctional team environment
