The primary purpose of this position is to partner with the business and global support functions to embed the concept of “secure by design” by influencing projects and operations to implement proportionate cyber security coverage throughout the development Lifecyle.
This is achieved by acting as a cyber security Subject matter expertise (SME) for the business, acting as a conduit to other security teams (such as Cyber Security Operations, Governance Risk and Compliance and Architecture and Engineering) as required to meet business needs.
This position will sit within Cyber Risk & Assurance team within Tech Security & Risk (TSR)
This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career. These responsibilities include some of the following;
Responsibilities:
- To work with the business to identify, document and report third-party suppliers connecting to GSK network.
- Able to analyze complex data and converting to simplified reports whilst detecting patterns and interpreting data.
- Build a dashboard to represent all third parties connecting into GSK network using PowerBI
- Engage with Third Party Security Risk Team to assess and evaluate security risks related to third-party supplier connections and determine the potential impact of those risks and conduct follow-up on any necessary remediation efforts.
- Engage with internal Architecture team to review network and architectural designs to identify any gaps in security controls on various connection types.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to recommend necessary security controls to effectively manage third-party connections.
- Understand dependencies and ensure risks and issues are clearly tracked and understood by key stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of contact to build awareness and understanding of the program of work

- Experience in Network management or third-party connections management
- A strong background in analysis and critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources
- Power BI Reporting
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of IT security controls, and related technologies and products
- Stakeholder/ internal business management experience
- Strong verbal/written communication in English, with the ability to effectively interact with professionals at all levels of responsibility and authority
- Work with virtual teams located in different countries around the world, aligning and adapting different work, culture, and communication styles.
