Description:

Cloud Engineer is a key role in GSK R&D accountable for leading the innovation strategies to modernize the tools and techniques used across the entire R&D portfolio increasing value, in alignment with each of the solution group strategies. To achieve our GSK R&D goals we are looking for professionals with these required skills and knowledge,

• Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, computing or similar discipline

• Service Management tools (specifically ServiceNow),

• Automation platforms (such as Run deck & Automation Anywhere)

• Proficiency / Knowledge in the following areas:

o Automation [of testing, build, deployment, service activities like access management, data backups, data quality checks or any other repeated tasks in service management etc.]

o Cloud tools and technologies knowledge preferably Azure e.g. serverless, PaaS and IaaS services to build automated solutions, enabling Infrastructure and Data solutions monitoring and reporting (e.g. Power BI/spotfire)

o Data science (e.g. AI/ML) to implement predictive analytics and building automated solution for event correlation and auto recovery

o Good understanding of ETL/ELT data warehousing concepts

o Proven experience in programming skills like (SQL DB, PowerShell). Knowledge in Terraform, .net or C# will be of added advantage

o Good understanding of database concepts e.g. SQL DB/Oracle

o Software development, architecture design (e.g. SOA) & technology platforms/frameworks

o Agile delivery, DevOps Ways of working

• Experience of product lifecycle management

• Excellent relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills at senior level

• Experience in team management (Direct reports, strategic partners etc
