Employee Experience Partner

Brentford/Hybrid Remote Working

8 Month Contract

Pay: up to £430 per day (Inside IR35 – via umbrella ONLY)

The Role

We have an exciting 8-month contract (to end 2022), in the Employee Experience Team. We are a small team who partner with Business Areas and/or Global Functions to support delivery of priority initiatives.

As an Employee Experience Partner, you will be responsible for conducting employee research, formulating data driven insights and making recommendations to stakeholders to influence experience related decisions. Having deep listening and observational skills, you will not only understand ‘what’ is good/bad about an experience, but also uncover deeper insights related to employee mindsets and behaviours.

The role may also include facilitating workshops to map current (as-is) and future (to-be) experiences, co-create interventions to move to the desired state, design and conduct experiments to test hypothesis and/or validate proposed experience related solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct employee research - synthesise data and information from multiple sources (e.g., desk research, surveys, interviews, focus groups, helpdesk tickets, external websites/companies) to formulate experience-related insights
  • Produce outputs to help stakeholders visualise the experience and ‘see’ where issues lie (e.g., problem statements, personas, pen portraits, empathy maps, experience maps etc.)
  • Develop and present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a compelling, concise, and story-telling way (written and verbal) - to influence experience and investment related decisions
  • Design and facilitate experience design workshops to map ‘as-is’ and co-create ‘to-be’ experiences with target employee group(s). Develop and prioritise solutions to move towards the desired future state experience
  • Input into the design of pragmatic experience related feedback mechanisms – influence project / operation teams to ensure that data obtained from these feedback loops are reviewed and actioned in a timely and sustainable way
  • Where issues/blockers are identified in an experience, suggest a ‘fix’ – support delivery and/or ensure the ‘fix’ is added to the project/product ‘backlog’
  • Use a strong data-driven approach to design and conduct experiments to either test experience related hypothesis and/or validate proposed experience related solutions
  • Actively contribute to the effective operation of our volunteer employee network, which focusses on providing feedback on new ideas and solutions

Basic Qualifications/Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research – in either a customer experience (CX) or employee experience (EX) capacity (this can be in house or agency side)
  • Proven experience of working on ambiguous, fast paced, complex programmes / initiatives at an enterprise level – confidently delivering pieces of work in days, as opposed to weeks/months
  • Strong project management and execution skills - with ability to influence and align stakeholders outside immediate reporting line
  • Confident facilitation skills – with ability to design (hybrid team) workshops that deliver value-add outcomes for stakeholders
  • Self-starter and leader of initiatives – operating with tenacity, resilience, and a can-do attitude to work
  • Skilled at working in the detail, whilst simultaneously able to communicate key messages in an effective and concise manner (written and verbal)
  • Experience using data analysis and reporting platforms (e.g., SPSS, Qualtrics, Power BI)
  • Advanced Powerpoint and intermediate MS Teams and Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, vlookup, conditional formatting)
