Global Procurement Category Manager Glass

Pay rate up to £485 per day via Umbrella inside IR35

Brentford, UK - Flexible remote working available

Initial 3 month contract


Job Description - General Procurement:


  • Identifies, evaluates, and manages external suppliers.
  • Leads strategic review, with in depth category knowledge of the category.
  • Ensures that the right business requirements, and supplier improvement actions are in place to deliver value to GSK
  • Manages relationship with external suppliers for the provision of goods and services. Negotiates favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers.
  • Identification/evaluation of new vendors in line with agreed business requirements, as well as tracking and monitoring of service level agreements and performance standards for existing vendors.
  • Leads strategic category management of their category, in partnership with the business and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all value deliver from the category strategy is in line with GSK and Procurement goals
  • Manages relationship with external suppliers for the provision of goods and services.
  • Negotiates favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods and services
  • May include identification/evaluation of new vendors as well as tracking and monitoring of service level agreements and performance standards for existing vendors.

 


Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Proven experience leveraging procurement analytics/data outputs to generate reports.
  • More than 2 years of experience in project management and business operations.


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Global Procurement role experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Glass or Sterile Industry knowledge
  • Advanced Degree in Business Management, or Business Operations
  • Ability to multi-task across various requests daily and work independently
  • Ability to engage senior leadership with limited direction
