Are you energized by a highly visible communications role that allows you to translate complex concepts into compelling communications content for one of the biggest FTSE 100 corporate launches in 20 years? If so, this Corporate Brand Communications Director role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.

 

As Corporate Brand Communications Director, you will be responsible for key elements of the New Consumer Health Care internal and external comms activity globally.

 

This role will provide/gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Responsible for strategic communications pillars globally
  • Advise other external communicators on corporate media strategy and have final say in outreach to corporate media contacts to ensure interactions with beat reporters are aligned. 
  • Responsible for pro-active communication strategies and plans for current and future portfolio
  • Develop communications requiring corporate alignment include stock price sensitive milestones and significant issues management. 
  • Internal and external communications related to communications/media plans
  • Responsibility to stay connected across the broader communications team, with a structured approach to sharing information and working with colleagues in key functions– including Global Communications, Government Affairs, Positive Action and GSK Communications
  • Leverage influence and collaborative ways of working across the business to create alignment on key issues/positions and stay well-informed on issues.
  • Maintain direct business relationship with corporate communications agencies.


Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

 

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience with corporate communications, media relations, and as strategic communications advisor to senior executives.
  • Internal and external communications experience, with specific experience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Good judgment with demonstrated ability to manage high stakes communications
  • Familiarity with metrics-based communications planning, media strategy, and stakeholder relationship approaches
  • Leadership presence and confidence providing strategic counsel to senior executives (Sr. VP and above).
