BI Developer

GSK House, Brentford (this role is remote working)

3 Months (to be extended to 6 months)

Pay: £520 per day (inside IR35 – via umbrella ONLY)

Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join and support GSK Consumer Healthcare in its journey to becoming a more data driven organisation. This means providing our teams with easy access to relevant and timely data to inform faster and empower more insight driven decision making. 

 

The main responsibility of this role is to understand the organisations reporting needs and deliver data products and visualisation solutions to address them. The focus will be on the identification, prioritisation and delivery of business insights in the form of reporting dashboards, applications and analysis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing solutions based on problem statements and user requirements
  • Development of data ingestion (eg. Power BI using Power Query, Dataflows, tabular modelling, and DAX measure definition) working with multiple data sources
  • Building effective data solutions (primarily on Azure and Power BI but also through other BI tools and web applications) in the form of rapid prototyping, that guides users to insights through a compelling data-driven story
  • Using design led thinking to select of appropriate visualisations - supported by UX/UI experts and product teams with iterative development based on regular feedback
  • Support sufficient levels of testing of products and fix identified defects
  • Implementing relevant security and access restrictions
  • Deploying data solutions and helping the business stakeholders envision the data driven future
  • Updating technical documentation (in a lean fashion and only where required)
  • Working within a cross-functional agile scrum delivery team
