Role
We are looking for a Finance Risk & Controls Manager to join our environment team to validate the evidence and ensure adequate for each key climate risk that we have identified, the conclusions are justified by evidence, and the actions status are evidenced.
Financial information for the assets implicated to be validated to accounting systems, and forecasted.
This role sits in the Finance Risk Management and Controls (FRMC) team, and will be reporting to the Head of FRMC Governance and VP of FRMC.
The topic of work is to assist the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
The TCFD has developed a framework to help public companies and other organizations disclose climate-related risks and opportunities.
Key Tasks:
- working with the environment team to validate the evidence and ensure adequate for each key climate risk that we have identified,
- ensure the conclusions are justified by evidence, and
- the actions status are evidenced.
- Financial information for the assets implicated to be validated to accounting systems and forecast.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Qualified accountant with 5 years post qualification experience and Big 4 audit firm as part of that experience
- Control testing
- regulatory compliance reviews (work that requires reviewing evidence to support statements of facts)
- Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity and communicate findings effectively to leadership team
