Purpose of Role
• The KT and Training Lead works within the People Separation Team focused on the successful separation of GSK into two world class Pharmaceutical and Consumer Healthcare (CH) companies
• The role is accountable for supporting the CH organisation to be able to standalone by ensuring employees are appropriately onboarded, with a specific focus on knowledge transfer and training to be able to do their job and support business continuity at Day 1
• The primary accountabilities are to:
o Support functions to perform a training and KT needs analysis along with a subsequent plan for creating any required knowledge artefacts or training materials
o Support functions to build an integrated training and KT delivery plan based around the cutovers happening through H1 2022 from January
o Be the link between the process and systems team, people separation, business change, policy simplification and onboarding to ensure functions are ready for cutovers and Day 1
Role Requirements
• Significant relevant industry experience
• Deep expertise of the adult learning process and modern workplace learning approaches, including digital tools and methodologies and how technical, business, compliance and leadership skills support performance
• Deep expertise of instructional design and how this can optimise the business transformation experience
• Deep expertise of training delivery, in a range of settings (instructor-led, remote learning, 1-2-1 coaching) including Train-the-Trainer and supporting super users in training delivery
• Experience of knowledge capture and transfer approaches at scale including how to measure success
• Advanced MS Word and MS PowerPoint skills
• Advanced problem-solving ability and highly autonomous
• Strong stakeholder management to senior level and advanced communication skills including ability to influence to achieve team objectives
• Substantial experience of working within a wider Business Transformation context, and an ability to manage the inter-dependencies between training and all other workstreams to form a cohesive plan.
• Experience of working within matrix team structures and across dispersed teams.
• Ability to scale, plan and deliver against the accountability in a controlled manner and to report against progress in a clear way
• Ability to assess risks and to escalate/propose/own solutions as necessary.
• Familiarity with working within Agile project environments
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Design the processes, templates, standards and approach for functions to be able to analyse, design and implement a KT and training plan, prioritising activities required for day 1 including technical, business, leadership and compliance skills
• Support functions to build onboarding journeys for new recruits, GSK transfers and embedded CH employees including ensuring CH enterprise resources and materials are aligned with any function specific onboarding resources
• Work with functions to conduct a needs analysis to show training and KT needs and build a development plan for any additional knowledge artefacts or training materials
• Work with the functions to build an onboarding plan which includes KT and training to ensure employees are ready to perform at Day 1 and business continuity is achieved
• Identify any function to enterprise training needs and associated resource requirements
• Identify opportunities to embed cultural messaging within functional onboarding
• Translate the process and systems high level training impacts into a cohesive training plan focused on functions and enterprise
• Influence and adopt the onboarding approach designed for CH employees
• Connect activities happening between process and systems, change, people separation, onboarding and policy simplification with the functions
• Identify resource requirements and areas of risk associated with onboarding and inclusive of KT and training
• Work with other training and KT leads to create a set of key lead and lag metrics to demonstrate readiness and areas of risk across CH
