Change Manager - R&D - Consumer Healthcare

£700 per day via Umbrella

12 months

GSK Brentford / Remote


Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Change Manager to come on board to support the R&D functions of the new CH and New GSK business as they make this critical transition. The successful candidate will join the CH global change management team in a role which will partner closely with the R&D function to drive and deliver business change transition activities.

As the organisation prepares for separation, and the new Consumer Healthcare company readies itself to become a fully independent entity, the respective R&D functions have commenced multiple change initiatives and workstreams all contributing to achieving the goal of successful separation.


Key responsibilities

  • Partnering with key individuals/groups within CH and New GSK R&D to support defined change initiatives by:
  • Maintaining a detailed Change Impact Assessment
  • Developing (and supporting the delivery of) change action plans to make the transition as smooth as possible
  • Providing guidance and support on change approaches, plans and use of CH global change toolkit
  • Designing appropriate supporting change networks
  • Tracking change readiness and embedding metrics
  • Providing ongoing advisory and assurance of change plans and oversight of progress to plan
  • Providing input into to a cross-disciplinary change squad, which meets regularly to actively manage functional priorities
  • Ensuring that our change work remains focused on:
  • Enabling colleagues to feel and perform at their best, whilst feeling valued and supported
  • Enabling the successful delivery of our change programmes to help establish a smooth transition: new organisation structures, processes, systems, ways of workings and behaviours
  • Avoiding (or significantly minimising) business performance dips as colleagues get used to new ways of working


Key skills and experience

  • Ideally 7 years’ + experience leading or playing a key role in a complex change management initiatives or large-scale implementations
  • Experience collaborating and interacting with leaders at multiple levels in varying businesses and geographies
  • Sufficient level of seniority to have the authority to make decisions and provide guidance
  • Demonstrable experience in utilising a variety of change management methodologies and mechanisms 
  • Experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working in an agile project, or embedding an agile mindset, beneficial
  • Exposure to, or experience of, an ‘employee experience’ based approach to managing and embedding change
  • Experience of data driven change initiatives
  • Strong informal networks of peers (or the capability to establish these) with ability to communicate and influence
  • Knowledge of GSK Consumer Health organisation, culture and ways of working (or other FMCG organisations), a benefit but not essential
  • Knowledge of Consumer Health or Pharma R&D a benefit but not essential
