Serialisation Separation Project & Cutover Manager

12 month contract

Remote based / Brentford

Up to £525 per day via umbrella only


Job Purpose:

To support the CH Serialisation & Fingerprint Programme Business Process Lead in:

·       the overall project leadership, management and delivery of CH Serialisation project goals & objectives with a focus on planning, resourcing, timescales & quality within the parameters set by the overall QSC separation programme of activity.

·       Development and execution of the cutover plans to the new organisation, processes, capabilities and required ways of working associated with the transition of serialisation accountability from the Pharma hosted service to Consumer Healthcare, including transition requirements, cutover plans, monitoring, reporting and readiness checkpoints.


Key responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Take a lead on scoping, planning, & execution of CH Serialisation Separation project.
  • Support the CH Serialisation Lead with managing senior stakeholders in the business to deliver on objectives & direction for the project.
  • Ensure effective sponsorship for the project is established with project governance & controls throughout.
  • Manage matrix teams of 10+ individuals across multiple functional & technical disciplines engaging with key subject matter experts to deliver on expectations & scope.
  • Ensuring stakeholder buy in of business requirements for the scope of the project and agreement of project plans, key milestones and funding needs.
  • Direct activities across the business to ensure project progresses to schedule; ensuring adequate business resources are made available to support the project
  • Responsible for leading & inspiring teams under intense pressure & timescales on a day to day basis to deliver on milestones & deliverables.
  • Responsible for regular project reporting, project wall management, senior stakeholder reporting, risk & issue management, planning & controls.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality & compliance requirements as dictated by Good Commercial or Manufacturing Practices (GxP) within the Pharma industry.
  • Responsible for maintaining a focus on the end point delivery, the milestones to be adhered to, the weekly disciplines of project management, the continued focus on stakeholder management & the projection of a can do attitude & energy that builds and provides pace & confidence.
  • To operate with a continuous improvement & inquisitive mindset with a view to simplifying processes & ways of working.


Cutover Management

·       Development of the transition plan from current to future state as of market compliance. Integrating all activities working closely with the business process team, including data, training, change management, tech, and understanding the required documentation

·       Develop and complete transition documentation, sign off and full transition of open items and new ways of working to receiving areas and markets across GSK.

·       Ensure effective stakeholder communication of requirements, plans and progress, including engaging with the stakeholders to identify tasks that must occur to successfully transition

·       Develop readiness checklists, go/no criteria and touchpoints in line with the cutover timing.

·       Ensure appropriate level of governance and approvals are in place across the cutover plan.

·       Identify and proactively manage areas of risk to the cutover including issues, missed milestones or reduced levels of readiness post cutover.


Key Skills required:

·       Specific organisational change management project management experience.

·       Strong Change Management experience to include current versus future state development and change management plan development and manage the transition to the future state.

·       Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams across a wide range of technical, functional & business disciplines

·       To be able to maintain high professionalism, discipline & performance, not being afraid to address conflict situations & to hold people to account for their deliverables & commitments.

·       Manage a project plan of 6-18 month duration at L1 (plan on a page), L2 (key milestones) & L3 (detailed task level).

·       Ability to manage people across different geographic locations, time zones and cultures.

·       Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

·       Solid track record in setting and managing customer expectations with strong teamwork ethic and interpersonal skills.

·       Skill in identifying and prioritising workload, looking ahead & anticipating problems.

·       Ability to conceptualise creative solutions, articulate them, and gain buy-in from senior managers.

·       Ability to keep a high performing team delivering to their best whilst maintaining high energy & resilience & positivity when under pressure & stress.

·       Ability to operate across boundaries and influence others.

·       To be able to operate independently & have good judgement when to seek guidance & support.

·       To have an ability to empathise with the teams but also motivate & encourage in a constructive & collaborative way.

·       Ability to think and operate strategically but focussed on day to day delivery with an eye & view to the enterprise as well as the needs of the project.

·       Experience of Serialisation would be an advantage.
