Finance Analyst - Consumer R&D Finance

GSK House/Initially Remote

Contact until June 2021

Pay: up to £185 per day (PAYE)


This Analyst role will support the Consumer R&D Finance team and be responsible for running and maintaining the Consumer R&D finance systems and processes. The successful applicant will also perform the monthly financial reporting requirements so a high comfort level with financial systems and strong Excel skills are critical for success.

The Consumer R&D Finance Analyst must be adaptive to change and constantly look for opportunities to improve process and participate in multi-function projects. The incumbent will have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple priorities as well as the ability to work independently and take the initiative when needed. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Consumer R&D Finance team during month end close by running finance reports from SAP/CERPS, posting journals and performing reconciliations.
  • Run reports and analysis to support the monthly review of R&D data to understand performance and identifying any gaps versus forecast
  • Support the Consumer R&D Finance team with financial reporting requirements (Bison) to Sector Finance and Corporate Finance
  • Perform monthly and quarterly Sox controls
  • Support the Consumer R&D Finance team with monthly financial forecasting process and annual Plan process
  • Take responsibility for master data maintenance (manage cost centres, create WBS codes etc)
  • Support the Consumer R&D Finance team with ad hoc financial analysis


Requirements:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Experience using SAP (CERPS and Bison)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business (or different degrees with Finance qualification) 
  • 1-4 years financial support experience
  • Team player and willingness to go the extra mile and improve processes
  • Advanced degree in finance
  • Effective knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
