Logistics Manager
GSK House, Brentford
6 Month Initial Contract
Pay: £167 per day


We are looking for a Logistics Manager to work from our global head office (GSK House, Brentford, West London). This is a fundamental role within the Customer Supply Chain, to assure the smooth inbound and outbound flow of products across our European warehouse network, in order to achieve On-Time-In-Full supply of products to our customers and support the GSK ambition to be a best in class supply chain.

You will act as the primary point of contact to Regional Supply Planners, Customer Services, Transport, Finance, and LSPs (Logistics Service Providers) for all questions relating to replenishment, current inventory availability, physical inventory and be responsible for reconciliation discrepancies. In delivering your role you will maintain an accurate picture of European Inventory (value £170 million, circa 8000 different packs, 35 markets) through the stock reconciliation process for all PTC (Principle Trading Company) and TS (Trading Services) locations, as well as liaise with our 3rd party warehouses, MMW (Multi Market Warehouses) Directors and Customer Service teams to carry out investigation and identification of errors. You will also ensure planned and ad-hoc local market replenishment from MMW Multi Market Warehouses) locations are on-time and in full.

Other responsibilities include acting as system super-user to the Regional Supply Planning Team by providing training to improve their systems and processes understanding to prevent any stock reconciliation errors. You will investigate claims related to imperfect delivery of stock and support investigations with the relevant supply chain functions. Throughout delivery of your role you will liaise with supply chain functions (including Regional Supply Planning Team, IT, LSP, site dispatch teams) to ensure all necessary orders are available in the system (including Purchase Orders/outbound delivery/inbound delivery) to ensure timely receipt of stock by MMWs. You will also coordinate (and execute) ad-hoc and/or regular subcontracting orders (including re-work and pack creation). This includes managing the scheduling of subcontracting orders, raising associated orders and communicating back to Regional Supply Planning Team/ Customer Service Teams when product is available.


About You:

This role would suit a driven and motivated individual who has strong experience of working in a complex supply-chain / logistics management environment. You will have strong SAP experience (ideally gained in Large BlueChip, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or FMCG Environment) as well as demonstrable skill / ability in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders (in different countries across Europe). You will have excellent people skills, and a proven ability to drive performance. It is imperative in this role that you drive common-objective thinking, with a complete focus on providing solutions. You will need to be persuasive, have a strong continuous improvement mindset.
