HR Data Management Analyst
GSK House, Brentford
8 Month Initially
Pay: £17 per hour (PAYE)


Job Purpose

The HR Data Management Analyst provides essential HR support in the processing of employee data for the entire life cycle of an employee. From ensuring new hires are processed correctly, transfers are completed smoothly, any changes to an employee’s Terms and Conditions are administered securely and on time, to managing their leaving process. This role comprises of processing and reviewing a wide range of tasks on local systems (Workday-HRIS system) including documentation production, reporting and project support with various stakeholders, at all levels.

The HR Data Management Analyst will also be expected to support the HR Customer Support Consultants to address complex requests/enquiries, including troubleshooting where required, owning the enquiry to its conclusion.

As part of the role they may be called upon to help train other colleagues on any aspect of their role.

Application of Knowledge

HR Data Management Analyst will work on both “business as usual” and a variety of projects which will require an ability to:

  • Be able to translate policies and procedures into practice, identify and recommend improvements
  • Understand scope and deliverable(s) of projects
  • Ensure data integrity and the quality of employee transactions are key to success. Understanding downstream effects as errors, lack of knowledge and/or quality input will create issues that are difficult, time consuming to resolve and costly to the HRCS Reputation
  • Using knowledge of policies and procedures to be able to help troubleshoot issues by identifying route courses and ensure successful outcome
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on processes, transactions or projects


Problem Solving & Innovation

Responsibilities will be routine in nature but there will be some complexity. The complex work will require:

  • Strong analytical thinking with an ability to work diligently to solve the issue at hand, using multiple systems and rely on independent thinking to solve problems
  • Working closely with the HR Customer Service Consultant and/or the requester and will need to be able to provide and document updates during the investigation
  • Ability to use appropriate problem-solving techniques to understand whether the issue requires further escalation or stakeholder involvement and if the issue is unique to a specific situation or may be an issue that impacts a broader population or process

Interaction

The HR Data Management Analyst will need to be comfortable with:

  • Interacting with different stakeholders of the business, of all levels within an international environment
  • Identify whether it is appropriate for people to be given certain information requested based on the nature of the information
  • Be able to interpret and communicate complex HR processes and policies and guide employees and managers effectively

Multi-cultural Responsibilities

The HR Data Management Analyst will need to be comfortable with:

  • Restructure work taking place across multiple markets
  • International Relocation of employees and working across with HR partners and COE’s globally
  • Cross border managers calling in about their direct reports or teams in the UK

Impact

The HR Data Management Analyst is in a pivotal role to ensure that all employee data is managed effectively and data integrity is of the highest quality. Errors or lack of knowledge in this role will create issues that are difficult and time consuming to resolve, and can put the company at risk. The HR Data Management Analyst will be working across all businesses, with all levels of the organisation and may be called upon to support complex and/or sensitive projects requiring deep knowledge.

For example:

  • Will be responsible for Workday transactions impacting payroll, benefits, compensation and job information
  • Will handle large amounts of complex data related to organizational restructuring projects

Key Responsibilities

Support the effortless experience for employees and managers reaching out to the HR Support Centre by working on business as usual activities, projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the life cycle of an employee through routine and complex Workday transactional processing and
  • Understand the downstream impact of transactions to other areas of the business e.g.: benefits, payroll etc
  • Understanding information and be able to make independent judgments about transactions
  • Production and auditing of supporting documentation
  • Establishing and recommending improvements to processes to enhance excellent customer service
  • Projects/restructures
  • Provide key support to HR during key business cycles e.g.: annual review cycle
  • Operational reporting
  • Assisting the Customer Support Consultants to address complex requests/enquiries, troubleshooting whererequired
  • Serves as subject matter expert on HR systems and tools and is able to identify when information appears out of
  • Alignment or incorrect
  • Train and coach peers in area(s) of expertise
  • Work collaboratively with all GSK stakeholders, ensuring the customer receives excellent customer service
