Up to £690 per day (umbrella only)

GSK are looking for a Global Category Leader to join the team on an interim basis. You will work across a range of technology procurement projects across any of the technology sub-categories Hardware, Telco, Software, Cloud & IT Services.

The projects will include procurement processes to achieve cost reductions (via RFP/Sole Source negotiations) Where you will need to identify, manage & execute technology sourcing initiatives to deliver cost reduction objectives as part of an enterprise Technology Transformation programme.

Responsibilities:

• The role has projects & programmes of activity but will require initiative, agility and proactiveness to succeed.

• Deliver a specific cost reduction target.

• Executing certain pre-defined projects to ensure that target is met.

• Work with procurement and technology functions to identify further savings opportunities to achieve this objective.

Must-have skills:

• Technology procurement experience - in-depth understanding (minimum 5 years’ experience).

• Global sourcing process experience.

• Cost, contract & commercial analytical skills

• Contract negotiation (global scale)

• Senior level stakeholder management experience & skills

• Delivery oriented.
