BI DevOps Engineer

Brentford

3 month initial contract moving to a permanent position

Overall responsibility: Skilled proficiency in preparation CI/CD, Azure DevOps (Build/Release Pipelines), Release approach, Centralized Repo (git), create scripts using either one of PowerShell/Bash//yaml to support functional and release features that supports MVP

Overall competency: Strong background in Azure Devops (Standing up azure data factory to AKS across environment ), proficient Branching approach, Azure echo system and scaffolding exposures to support scrum process. 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities

Develop and manage CI/CD process for different types of application and automateBuild self service BI specifications/mockups
Manage and support environments in Microsoft Azure cloudDesign and build azure scolding (From policies to automation)
Support development teams in technical questions of continuous integration/continuous delivery and delivery organization
Manage the full release process
Report design documents
Performance monitoring and tuning
Develop disaster recovery strategy.
Manage delivery expectations and help to lead release/change management efforts regarding data and analytic
Drive accuracy and consistency in continuous deployment

Competencies

Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, OLAP, Star and Snow Flake Schemas, Data Modeling using Normalization, Business Process Analysis, Dimensional Data Modeling, Fact and Dimensions tables, Physical and Logical Data
Microsoft Azure Cloud: ARM templates writing, setup automation for resources provisioning (Azure PowerShell)
Azure services (Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Storage Account
Understanding of load balancers, DNS, virtual networks and firewalls in cloud environment
Setup monitoring (performance metrics, OMS)
Azure Active Directory basics: AZURE AD authentication
Users and groups

Roles
