Shopper Marketing Manager

  • To deliver brand sales, share, profit and gm% at least to plan
  • To develop and implement high-impact, multi-channel shopper plans aligned to category, brand and retailer strategies
  • Lead customer facing contact for the brand working with area shopper manager/sales/brand to translate brand and shopper objectives into clear retailer specific activation plans
  • Work with the area shopper manager to assist in influencing the global category team to deliver shopper toolkits fit for purpose for GB
  • To deliver brand sales, share, profit and gm% at least to plan
  • To take the global shopper toolkits and deploy to maximum effect within GB creating high impact brand presence in the relevant shopper touchpoints
  • Working with insights/SSL, conduct shopper/category/retailer research on key shopper campaigns as required
  • Create powerful relationships with our key customers to optimize the most impactful and effective shopper solutions including at least 8 face to face customer meetings p.a.
  • Bring strong GB local insight into competitor activity plus retailer, category and shopper needs to the area shopper manager to ensure global and area toolkits are maximized in their effectiveness for the GB market
  • Within GB, act as shopper lead throughout the commercial planning process to ensure the shopper voice is at the heart of the brand and customer plans.
  • Evaluate shopper/retailer activation to ensure we are spending money efficiently/continually improving and delivering ROI to the business
  • Manage the shopper budget and monthly forecasting and phasing of spend
  • Proven shopper marketing experience across the full mix including deploying successful toolkits.
  • Experience with creating and executing shopper activations is key.
  • Partnering with external creative and media agencies.
  • Strong Project Management and cross functional working essential.
  • Ability to drive passion and energy when leading projects and working within teams.
  • Sound data analysis and commercial understanding.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

This role would suit a driven and motivated individual who has strong experience of working in a complex operational environment. Strong people-management skills and experience, as well as a proven ability to drive performance, are considered essential. It is imperative in this role that you demonstrate an ability to drive common-objective thinking, with a complete focus on providing solutions. You will need to be persuasive, have a strong continuous improvement mindset, and have proven experience of dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Ideally you will have worked in a highly regulated-industry (experience of the provision of complex facilities support services to a large office or pharmaceutical facility would be highly advantageous).
