Finance Analyst (TSM/IT/Sales)
GSK House, Brentford
2 Month Contract (with potential to extend)
Pay: £165 per day (PAYE only)


GSK Consumer Healthcare operates a global IT system to manage all investments made to our trade partners, these are either discounts or rebates offered to customers in return for benefits to GSK. These are maintained in a system called TSM (Trade Spend Management), also known as TPM (the generic name for the SAP module that GSK has implemented).

Due to a planned change, there is a need to manually re-enter complex trade rebates into the system for 8 international markets. This is part of a larger stability project to removed one type of customer rebate that is causing data corruption issues.

This role is needed to support a temporary project to help re-enter those rebates into the TSM systems. This task is normally completed by a Sales or Finance Manager, but due to the need to quickly solve a stability issue, this needs to be completed by a small central team.

The role therefore is to assist a manager with the re-entry of complex trade rebates into the Trade Spend Management system. This can be a complex process and requires high attention to detail, ability to work as a team, to ensure that the task is completed successfully. This will give the applicant a chance to gain work experience at GSK, be trained on a global SAP system, understand more about how GSK invests with its customers, gain knowledge of international trade investment, and help deliver an important project to assist GSK deliver a more stable global system.

The key skills required are:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to enter complex information into an IT system
  • To be a team player with good communication skills
  • Some finance background would be useful, but not essential

This would ideally suit a graduate who is looking for work experience and has a desire to work in Finance, Sales or IT as a career, and would like to work at GSK. However other applicants would be considered, as there is no direct experience that is needed. Moreover, the right attitude, strong attention to detail, ability to complete tasks that can be repetitive, but are also complex, are more important attributes than direct Finance qualifications or experience.

The assignment is for 2 months, of which at least 2 weeks will be training and onboarding. The project may take longer and be extended, as the exact amount of work required will only be know in January 2020.
